Donald F. Moen Jr. was born January 13, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from Marquette University in 1964 with a degree in mathematics. He served in the Air Force, stationed at various bases before leaving as a captain in 1968, then moved to the Washington, D.C. area, where he worked at TRW for 35 years.

Don was a Life Master in bridge and a longtime duplicate player, remembered by his regular partners as unfailingly upbeat and cheerful. Away from the table he enjoyed golf, gardening, reading, wine collecting, and traveling.

He died February 21, 2019, in Great Falls, Virginia, at age 76.

He is survived by his wife, Lyn J. Moen, and his brothers, Richard, Robert, and Thomas.
