It is with a heavy heart that I tell you all that Leslie passed away on March 10th, 2024 at 12:40 PM

She is survived by one daughter (Rebecca Shafer Allen), four grand children, (Katherine Wahlberg, Justin Wahlberg, Meredith Allen, and Megan Allen) and sisters Donna Williams Rowley, Mary-Anne Musser, and Patty, and brothers Brian Shafer, J. R. Shafer, and David Shafer.

We will be having a memorial, in the same place where she loved having her classes. Leslie loved the Memorial that we had for Charlie, and she expressed to me that she wanted something similar when it was her time.

When: 11:00 AM- 5:00 PM Saturday April 6th

Food for up to 60 people will be provided. If you would like to bring something, please make sure it is kosher. (No pork, shellfish) I will provide Sandwiches, Fruit and Sodas.

Leslie was an atheist, so no religious iconography, please.

I plan for a few family members to speak for Leslie starting at 11:30 AM, and then we will open up the floor to anyone else who wants to share.

After that there will be food and games! I will bring Scrabble, Uno, and Grounded for Life! (A children’s game that Leslie loved). And of course there will be Bridge supplies and tables! Please feel free to bring a game of your choice! p>
